Willie Pelzer

Willie Pelzer, the founder of Sunny Crunch Foods Ltd. and former CHFA president, passed away on Friday, May 17 at the age of 79. Willie served as president of CHFA from 1969 to 1971, and again from 1991 to 1997.

A release from CHFA recalls Willie as a person "who worked tirelessly for our industry. Known to many as the saviour of CHFA in the '90s when our Association had come to a crossroads, Willie assumed the leadership role, donated office space and generously provided financing for the revitalization."

Willie was honoured in 1997 by becoming the first recipient of CHFA's prestigious Hall of Fame award.
