A tour of Vancouver natural health stores during CHFA week
A big thanks to Kathleen Bird, a long-time industry member, and Ariella Turner, Assured Natural Distribution and Natural Factors, for once again bringing the CNHR editorial team to a few interesting stops in the Lower Mainland during CHFA week in Vancouver.
Kathleen says “Derrick’s tenure of over 35 years in the industry is unparalleled. His knowledge and health acumen are incomparable. Not many in the industry can hold a candle to his knowledge. He’s a walking encyclopedia. He’s fantastic.”
“The thing that stands out to me about Tracy,” says Kathleen, “is her quest for learning. She has a wealth of knowledge, but she is always eager and enthusiastic about learning. She’s a sponge. She is so passionate about helping customers, that it is very common for her to email specific customer questions to her rep to get the right answer for her customer.”
“Like Derrick, Corrine’s knowledge is also unparalleled. We have worked together for many years, and she has always been a great partner for me to work with during my career. She is very passionate about helping customers.”
Our first stop with Ariella was a visit to the Plant a Seed & See What Grows Foundation in Coquitlam, BC. For the past few years, CNHR has partnered with Plant a Seed, encouraging retailers to work with schools and organizations to create organic community gardens. The goal is to get young people to see where their food comes from.
Ariella also took us to a unique store: Life Plus in Richmond, where we met Tim Zhang and Doris Qi. “This bright and welcoming retail store blends a friendly atmosphere with modern technology,” says Ariella, “offering QR codes and integrated inventory systems that connect in-store and online stock in real time. Doris and Tim are passionate, knowledgeable individuals, who are dedicated to helping customers make informed choices with ease and confidence.”
