Organic month 2026: trailblazer award for Canadian natural health retailers

In partnership with CNHR magazine, the Canada Organic Trade Association is proud to offer the national Organic Month Trailblazer Award. This award will honour Canadian independent natural food retailers participating in September’s Organic Month campaign by celebrating the trailblazing community of pioneering retailers who have contributed toward the success of organic.
Successful candidates will showcase their outstanding initiative in promoting the benefits of organic, increasing consumer trust in the organic claim, and driving organic sales during the month-long national Organic Month campaign. The winner will be featured in CNHR magazine and all official channels of the national Choose Canada Organic Campaign!
Evaluation will consider the following:
the originality and effectiveness of Organic Month activations
a boost in organic sales during the month of September (compared to prior year)
the store’s advertising of organic principles and products
customer engagement impact
the store’s role in inspiring or mobilizing their community
To assist your organic promotions, free Organic Month in-store and digital marketing tools are available, with ready-to-use campaign messaging, grab-and-go images, and everything else you may need already created to implement high-impact displays and generate compelling customer touchpoints.
Don’t forget that Organic Month is the perfect time to engage your staff and customers in the “why” behind choosing organic products! Consumers want to understand the story behind what they buy.
