A feel-good gathering: Inside Nutters’ AGM and trade show

The Nutters Everyday Naturals conference and trade show brought together a host of franchisees, managers, vendors, and other key industry experts to Medicine Hat, Alberta, between September 8 and 11.

“In terms of attendance, we welcomed 65 Nutters’ people from both corporate and franchise stores, as well as head office staff and our leadership team,” said Brandy Schwingenschlegel, Nutters marketing manager.

Day one: Internal updates

The event kicked off with an internal conference covering operational updates and an outlook for 2026.

Day two: Educational presentations

The following day focused on education, with presentations from industry experts on topics such as mental wellness and hormone health, as well as addresses from Aaron Skelton from CHFA and Sherry McNeil from CFA.

“The educational sessions were outstanding and so well received,” said Brandy. “They gave our teams new insight and fresh energy to take back to their stores.”

 Day three: Trade show

The highlight of the event was the trade show day, featuring Nutters’ supportive vendor community, which boasted 110 attendees and close to 60 booths.

“Our annual Nutters’ trade show is more than an event, it’s a chance to come together with the incredible vendors who help bring health and wellness to life in our communities,” said Nutters president Brad Winsor. “By connecting face-to-face, sharing insights, and exploring new products, we strengthen the partnerships that make Nutters unique. When our teams and suppliers collaborate closely, we’re better able to serve our customers with innovative products, trusted knowledge, and an exceptional shopping experience.”

Day four: A round of golf

The week wrapped up with the annual golf tourney that was recently renamed the “Ray Smith Memorial Golf Tournament” in honour of the late long-time Nutters franchise owner and beloved member of the community.

For Brandy, who was attending her first Nutters AGM this year, the event stood out for its sense of connection and optimism. “There were so many smiley faces,” she said. “Even with all the new growth, you could see new franchisees immediately feel part of the culture. Nutters is a special company, and this was a feel-good event for a diverse group of people who truly care about what they do.”
