Organic Month 2026: Grow loyalty, sales, and industry recognition
Organic Month returns this September for its 18th year! The campaign offers retailers a powerful opportunity to strengthen customer loyalty, increase sales, and deliver innovative marketing. You can gain national recognition for your leadership in organic retail through our new partnership with CNHR magazine: the Organic Month Trailblazer Award.
This exclusive award recognizes Canadian independent natural health retailers showcasing organic sourcing, profiling, and promoting organic in-store and digitally in unique ways. The winning retailer will be profiled in CNHR and celebrated at Canada Organic Trade Association’s (COTA) 2027 Organic Gala & Leadership Awards in Toronto, elevating your store’s visibility and industry credibility.
Canada is the world’s fifth‑largest organic market, and consumer interest only continues to grow: 77 percent of Canadians understand that organic means no toxic synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, while 48 percent of Canadians are willing to pay more for organic products. Organic Month taps directly into this momentum, giving retailers a ready‑made platform to connect with values‑driven shoppers who care about health, sustainability, and transparency.
Throughout September, Organic Month will shine a spotlight on the people, practices, and products shaping Canada’s organic sector. Retailers are invited to participate through a suite of free, bilingual promotional tools that highlight organic messaging that resonates with customers, making participation easy and effective. The Organic Month Digital Toolkit includes everything you need to promote organic with confidence: from printable in‑store materials and branded e‑signatures to ready-to-use social media graphics and a pre‑planned social media content calendar.
By highlighting organic products through trusted claims, educational messaging, and sustainability‑focused promotions, retailers can deepen customer trust, which encourages repeat purchases. Participating stores are also encouraged to engage their teams through staff education and to collaborate with brokers and distributors on special September promotions.
Organic Month 2026 is more than a campaign. It’s an opportunity to display your corporate commitment to sustainability, align with your consumers’ values, showcase your responsible organic sourcing practices, and draw media attention to your leadership.
